Our Annual Banquet Was a Success ! !

Over 230 guests attended the Lamesa Area Chamber of Commerce annual banquet, February 18th. They enjoyed a fine meal provided by Market Place/United Supermarket, a fine speaker by the name of Art Roberts, in a brand new facility - the Forrest Park Community Center.

The food was delicious. Pork Loin with a wonderful chipolte sauce, potatoes and asparagus. Oh, and the key lime pie! No one left hungry.

Art Roberts discussed the accomplishments he has seen over the years. Accomplishments made possible by those who volunteer their time and energy to the Chambers of Commerce of Texas. Art also highlighted the goals of our own Chamber, goals that will have an economic impact on the communty: starting a new festival, increasing attendance & vendors for the 4th of July festivities, increasing the use of the Weaver Sports complex. All are activities which will bring visitors to Lamesa. All will highlight our efforts to welcome new friends.

The new 5,000 square foot Forrest Park Community Center certainly sets the standard for accomodating meetings and providing services. Two 52" flat screen displays and I large (113") high quality projector & screen combination give any presentation a leg up on outstanding. And the room can be separated to make smaller more friendly gatherings.

All in all, it was a Faaantastic night, enjoyed by all ! ! !
