Teen Court
Dawson County Teen Court is held on the second monday of every month. Youth between the ages of 10 and 18 who commit Class C misdemeanors, may choose to attend Teen Court to face a trial by a teen jury. Students serving sentences must provide documentation of the community service hours they have served for the month. All sixth through twelfth grade students are eligible to participate as Teen Court volunteers, including as a juror, attorney or bailiff.
Teen Court meets in the District Courtroom of the Dawson County Courthouse.
New defendants and a parent should be at the Lamesa Boy's and Girls Club at 4:15 p.m. for their pre-trials.
For more information, contact Teen Court Director Shelley Barron at 787-2699 or email her at sbarron@lamesaisd.net
Teen Court is also always looking for adult volunteers.
