Lamesa’s Park Department currently maintains 170-180 acres of parks located in various areas of the city
Forrest Park, located on south 9th street between Houston and Bryan Avenues. The Park includes a pair of softball diamonds, a modern play ground, and overnight parking area for recreational vehicles, a community building and a plaza for dances and musical entertainment
Webelo Park, includes a pair of girls' softball diamonds, on South Avenue M between South 4th and South 6th Streets
Jefferson Park, located adjacent and just southeast of Webelo Park
Pioneer Park, including a small rock community building, along Sulphur Springs Draw south of South 1st Street
Triangular Park, with playground equipment at Avenue N and the Seminole Hwy.
North 22nd Street Park in the 700 block of North 22nd Street includes 2 basketball courts. Where the municipal pool is located
Skate Park, on Elgin Avenue between North 1st and North 2nd streets, created specially for skateboarding.
Charles Varner Park in the 200 block of North 24th Street, also includes playground equipment
South 8th street Park adjacent to South Elementary School, includes swings and a tennis court
North 9th Street Park (Behind the Boys and Girls Club) includes a small fishing lake, on north 9th Street just off Main Avenue
Plaza on the Square previously known as the park on the square is located at N. 1st St. and Austin Avenue and features a stage area with a painted horse backdrop.
